Design ADAC 2006
Design ADAC, is the annual product preview, educational and networking event organized by the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC), the Southeast’s largest resource for residential and contract furnishings.
This was the first Design ADAC for Patina Inc. since moving from the design center to their new building at 1876 DeFoor Ave. As part of the move, Patina gave up its space at ADAC and turned their sales over to Grizzel & Mann who became their exclusive sales rep in Atlanta and the Southeast.
“We personally invited a lot of area designers to come down and see our new displays at Grizzel & Mann,” said Patina National Sales Manager Jane Cumming, “ and we had a very nice response. We did a meet and greet with Marylu Stevens, our CEO, which gave people a chance to talk about Patina and see some of our new products.”
This year’s events included the unveiling of 2 new Patina products - The Plasma Secretary (see April Newsletter), designed to hold up to a 35-inch wide plasma TV screen and The Patina Dog Bed (see article below), a miniature version of the Patina “people” beds.
“We had a lot of buzz going on. People loved the new products. It was great to see many of our current customers and meet new designers and give them the opportunity to discover Patina.”
Patina furniture can be seen exclusively in Atlanta in the showrooms of Grizzel & Mann at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center351 Peachtree Hills Avenue Atlanta, GA 30305
Patina Going to the Dogs
Beds have been the Patina “signature” piece and CEO Marylu Stevens believes it’s only natural to add dog beds to the line; besides she says, “they’re absolutely adorable!”
“I was inspired by my two dogs, Marcus (a Yellow Lab) and Remy (the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel pictured). They both have the typical dog cushion beds and although I’ve tried to disguise them with designer fabrics, they still didn’t quite fit my “Patina” bedroom. “
“My Patina bed isbeautiful and it makes me feel special every time I get into it, so…don’t our “best friends” deserve to feel special, too?”
The Patina Dog Bed is a miniature version of the Patina “people” beds. Currently, offered in the B19 and B59 frame styles, painted and finished by the same artists that finish all of our furniture. The beds are available in 3 different sizes: small, medium, and large.
The Patina Dog Bed is available now; contact your local Patina rep for more information and pricing.
