Part 1:

Some Of Our Favorite Custom Pieces

At Patina, one of the things we enjoy the most is working with designers to create beautiful custom furniture. While all Patina furniture is unique by virtue of its hand crafted construction and individual finish, it’s exciting to watch our design customers put their individual stamp to one of our frames.

Pictured to the left is a custom Armoire designed to hold clothing, books, television and a complete computer system for a pre teen-age girl. Selecting a secretary unit as a starting point, the designers chose the largest television set they could find that would fit within the constraints of the case.

After carefully measuring computer components, they reconfigured the design of the interior to house the computer monitor, keyboard, printer and tower but maintained the secretary dropdown as a desktop. Rather than have separate bookshelf units they de­signed bookcases attached to either side of the piece in a breakfront design with drawer storage below.

Corners can be challenging and pictured to the right is a completely custom corner piece created from rough sketches supplied by a designer and refined in house by Patina. The finished piece is unlike any other in the Patina line. The critical element in the creation of this piece was the constant communication and exchange of ideas between the designer and the artists in Italy, which was carefully coordinated by Patina USA. 

You always know exactly what you’re getting when you customize a Patina piece. For custom colors and decorations, “strike offs” painted by the actual artist who will be creating the finish and decorations of the piece can be made available to the client for pre approval.

Often a designer will start with a basic Patina frame like the one pictured to the left and finish with a design so completely different that it’s no longer possible to discern the starting point.  That’s very much the case with the striking vanity pictured below.

Part 2:

Patina Announces 20th Anniversary Inventory Sale!

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Patina Inc., announces its “ 20th Anniversary Golden Opportunity Inventory Sale”. Patina is offering in stock items from both the U.S. and Italian warehouse inventory with immediate availability on all U.S. pieces.

Once a piece has been  chosen, the designer should contact their local Patina Rep for sale pricing and delivery scheduling. Pieces in the Italian warehouse will take a little longer for delivery but U.S. pieces will be available immediately and shipped from the Atlanta warehouse.
